Cust service is very poor in 5paisa. One of my simple query reg brokerage charge is pending since 10 days. Now i m seriously thinking to move to other platform than 5paisa.

How about the ROI? Previously it was 1.4%, but now it’s 26%. So, are you taking it back indirectly after the net profit? Can you explain?

Hi @Alagu_Shan
Yes, exactly — the improvement in ROI comes from removing the pledge + unpledge charges.
In the earlier example, ₹50 gross profit was reduced by ₹47.20 in charges, leaving only ₹2.80 net profit. On the ₹200 customer margin, that’s **1.4% ROI**.
With the charges waived, the full ₹50 gross profit remains as net profit. So the ROI becomes **₹50 ÷ ₹200 = 25%**.
So, no amount is being “taken back” indirectly — the difference is simply the transaction cost that was earlier deducted from the customer’s profit. Also, the correct ROI in the example is **25%, not 26%**.

Sir, in your example you have taken a pledge cost of 47.2 for each share of Rs 800 whereas if someone buys and pledges even 100 or 1000 or whatever number of shares of Rs 800 each the pledge cost per transaction will only be Rs 47.2 . In such a case the return calculations will not be as bad as 1.4%?

The Example mentioned was a hypothetical scenario based on a specific order quantity. ROI may vary depending on the trade value.
